11 Days Away From the Start Of the 2016 Oregon State baseball season!!  It is getting closer and closer to the first pitch of the 2016 Oregon State baseball season.  I am very excited about watching this team play with all of the talent that they have.  Above is one of the talented freshman that Oregon State signed to the incoming freshman class.  Trevor is a very disciplined hitter with a very good eye at the plate.  He possesses pretty good speed, but the thing that stands out with Trevor is the fact that he takes very good routes to the ball to make up for not having top end speed.  He was drafted in the 40th round by the San Diego Padres, but of course turned down professional baseball in order to come to Corvallis to be apart of hopefully a Championship team.  Here are some video highlights of Trevor courtesy of Max Preps.

The Oregon State baseball team will start off the year in Surprise, Arizona for a Surprise Tournament.  The schedule for that tournament looks like this:

Friday February 19th  Oregon State vs. Ball State 12pm.

Saturday February 20th  Oregon State vs. Utah Valley 1pm.

Sunday February 21st  Oregon State vs. Minnesota 12pm.

Monday February 22nd  Oregon State vs. Utah 11am.

Thursday February 25th  Oregon State vs. Kansas State 12pm.

Friday February 26th  Oregon State vs. Kansas State 12pm.

Saturday February 27th Oregon State vs. Kansas 12pm.

Sunday February 28th  Oregon State vs. Kansas 9am.

After the tournament Oregon State starts out the regular season.  They are projected to finish first in the Pac 12.  It is getting exciting that baseball is almost here.  I love football but the greatest sport and America's Past time will always be baseball.

Go Beavers!!!

Introduction to Beaver Baseball Nation Blog

Welcome to my official blog of Oregon State Beaver baseball nation blog.  You will find on here all of the updated information on the Oregon State Beaver baseball team.  This should be a very exciting season of Beaver baseball.  This team has a lot of returning players from last years team, as well as an great class of incoming freshman.  As I see this team, I see a team with very good pitching, some very good speed especially with the incoming freshman, and some good pop in the middle of their lineup.  The main cog in the Beaver office is Logan Ice.  He handles the bat very well, but the main reason why he is the Captain of the 2016 team is by his defense and having one of the best throwing arm in the conference if not all of NCAA baseball.  I look forward to bringing a lot of baseball news as well as stats, game information, and much more.  Follow me and my blog if you are interested in staying in touch with your Beaver Baseball.  To get you excited for the 2016 season, here is a pump up video that will make the hairs stand up on you back.
